7 Things we STILL need freedom from!
Freedom number 1
B and D media We are already in distress due to the corona pandemic But there's another pandemic that is more dangerous and more lethal for our country Very recently, this lethal virus even led to the death of the Congress Spokesperson, Rajiv Tyagi I am obviously talking about the B and D media and even Russia has no cure for this virus . No matter what the situations are in the country or what crisis the country is going through B and D media is busy preparing its own dish. The first in the list of ingredients is a sensational headline "Were there tantriks in Sushant's flat?"

Even if they cannot be watched for news, we still can switch on these channels and practice laughing yoga But as long as the people treat comedy nights with Arnab more seriously than Kapil Sharma, it is difficult for us to become a superpower .

From Fake News and Whatsapp University Not only b and d media, we also need freedom from the fake news pandemic- immediately! No matter what the subject is- 2000 rupee notes, or the election votes, the attack in Pulwama or the Citizenship Amendment act, or Ram Raj in UP or even the cure for COVID19 .
You will get a fake news on every subject no matter which variety you ask for It's almost like the Palika Bazaar- you get whatever you ask for This year, despite being independent, we had to stay locked up inside our houses due to corona. The lockdown might or might not have got corona under control the fake news pandemic has definitely gone out of control This situation is somewhat like- One went to the hospital to get treated for Chickengunya and came back home with both Chickengunya as well as Swine flu I understand that staying locked within the four walls of the house has caused your creativity to overflow, Keeping in mind the slogan of "free education for all", the Fake news course is being taught on WhatsApp University Sometimes, a PhD is being pursued on goats not wearing masks and sometimes, a masters is being pursued on "Indian anthem being the best in the world"
And if that wasn't enough, we are now being taught a complete course on space as well Kamra was right. These paunch bellied uncles and nosy aunties- "Where else would they get so much content?" And that too, for free! Freedom from intolerance The saints say that our body is made up of five elements- air, water, fire, earth, and space .
Owing to the fact that our bodies are evolving, an additional element has been added- the element of intolerance No matter how much people squabble in public, we never bat an eyelid But if someone is caught indulging in public display of affection and then if he tries to justify it by saying that it's okay, it's fine... then... And it is not just on issues of love, we have suddenly become intolerant regarding several things "India has become such an intolerant country"
Our niceness is directly proportional to the length of the dress of the girl Talking about females, We get irate over the jokes of a female comedian sometimes "First of all, all these people who run such shows, to hell with them. And its enough now. No more!" And sometimes, we get immensely upset over some queen who danced 400 years ago in a movie "The controversy around the movie Padmavati has just gone bigger and murkier..."
And if someone dares to tell us to wear a mask during this corona pandemic, then the Khali inside of us comes alive! In short, if someone ever places a counter opinion in contravention to our opinion, then our first response is somewhat like- "Be silent.. or else I will become violent."
But this year, on Independence day, maybe we should listen to Gandhiji instead of Shahid Kapoor. We should ourselves try and be silent so that there's less of violence Am I expecting far too much?
Freedom number 4
Freedom from lack of scientific temper Both us and the actions scenes of Rohit Shetty movies accord the same importance to science that is given to our interests and our choices while deciding on our career by our middle class parents. Because, you see, science, critical thinking, reasoning- all these things are only to be read in books We apply our own logic in the end And our logic is talented enough to put the jokes of Comedy nights with Kapil to shame First- there are our gurus, who can control even the sun with their pinky “I asked the sun not to come out till I finish flag hoisting. And the sunrise was late today by 40 minutes!" .
Then, we also know how to cure diseases without even having gone to Medical school! treating diseases the non medical way by chanting "go corona". And if all of these antics fail, then not to worry! We even have experts "A fraud who calls himself by the name of "chumma baba" and treats diseases and sadness by giving out kisses" And we have not even spared the animals from our web of "logic". We get girls married to dogs I mean, for real. Like literally- with dogs! We are afraid of black cats. We cleanse our stomach germs with alcohol. According to us, pigeons are spcies and wretched are the locusts sent from Pakistan!. It's true that we are free- and we have the freedom to do, see and speak whatever we want. But there's something called common sense- Maybe we should use it!

The freedom of privacy! The concept of "privacy" is extremely difficult to explain in India Everyone has to know everything Your business is my business. My business is your business. Everybody's business is everybody's business! Because our nose is like Pinocchio's It is so long that it interferes in everyone's matters! Without even trying And if we don't sprinkle the seasoning of "gossip about others" our dinner remains incomplete .For example, our landlord wants to know who that girl was The neighbouring aunties want to know when you are about to get married Your parents want to read your messages Your girlfriend/boyfriend want the passwords of your social media handles The government wants your bio-metrics your spouses want to know your search history One fragile life... and such massive surveillance! "That is gross injustice!" We know that the population is immensely large, but it is important to give some space Interfering with one another will not cause us to become a superpower
Freedom number 7
The freedom of environment We can make it our life's purpose to know what is happening in each other's lives But if the life giving environment is in danger then it makes no difference to us We might not win accolades in other fields but we are gold medalists and Olympic champions in the field of pollution Our air is so polluted that we cannot even see "Vikas" or else we would have seen it by now! But we still do not mend our ways We sit on motorcycles and unleash our Picasso on the roads and we put garlands of rubbish on the roads almost as if they are our father's property
And water... The scarcity of water is almost as bad as the scarcity of common sense in India But even then, we waste it so extravagantly just like engineering students waste their time for a degree We burns wood to purify the air And along with gold smuggling, we also harbour lavish interests like animal smuggling The children of Delhi NCR wear masks while going to school due to pollution but we still maintain that - All is well! We secured independence in 1947 And it's not like we have not achieved anything as a country after independence We have made our way to moon and Mars But despite these achievements, we're still trapped in social and political ills that have enslaved us And when we do have the freedom to free ourselves from these things, then why are we not doing this? When we managed to drive out the British, why are we unable to drive out the petty thoughts? Now, do not say that- "What do we say and what do we do" Because the onus of doing and saying and questioning lies on both you and me
